Recording Studio taking shape

Slowly but surely the building designated to be a recording studio is taking shape. The ring beam has been installed and home made trusses are now sitting on top of the ring beam pointed skyward.

There was much discussion as the trusses were made regarding their size as they were made to have an overhang (extend beyond the walls) of almost 2 meters! Such is unheard of here in Ikelenge so this building was certainly shaping up to be a very unique one. Along with the large size came the question from many “How are those trusses going to get up on the walls?”.

When the day came to start to put the trusses up on the walls, those working on the building were a bit tense as they gathered, not knowing what they day would be like. However, they didn’t need to fear as after being guided through what needed to be done, they found that it was much simpler than expected!

One by one the trusses were moved into position, lifted up on the ring beam, slid along to their right position and stood upright pointing to the heavens.

How exciting that one more step in the building process has almost been complete.
