What makes a room feel more comfortable, more lived in, than putting furniture in it? Well, today we had fun assembling some of the flat-pack furniture for the rooms that we have finished painting. We still have more to do in all the rooms, but it is wonderful to get to the stage where we can make them come alive.
We put together a few of the discussion tables and it is good to see that they fit well in their intended spaces along with the chairs that are to go with them. You can see from the feature image that the red accent wall looks stunning, though it does look bare (more on that later…).
Curtains in a number of the rooms were also put up so a few rooms now look more finished from the outside and have a bit of privacy as we continue working in them putting in other fixtures. How nice it was to have done all the prep work and at this point not have to drill anything, but to just screw the brackets into the wall and hang the curtains! The two studios now have their curtain walls which have gone a long way to make the rooms feel more elegant as well as cut down on the echos in the rooms. There is certainly more to do with regard to sound treatment, but what has been done so far is a good improvement and you can hear the difference as soon as you walk into the rooms.
Some of the sound treatment has arrived and is just waiting to be put up. It’ll be exciting to see how it looks on the walls, but for now we’ll have to wait…
