Indoor wall painting finally finished!

As the sun was setting I rushed into the station to take the picture above. What a wonderful feeling to know that finally, after delays with primer paint and many other challenges, the last internal walls of the building are finally painted completely.

Each room has been painted with the bright yellow primary colour of Chejeji and all rooms except the hallway have one accent wall in a deep red. Though not yet completely furnished and with no wall hangings up, most who walk in to see the progress say “WOW”! It certainly does look stunning.

So, the main backdrop has been taken care of, now it is time to put the details into the building. Trim and doors are still needing to be painted and trim always takes a while, so there is still some time before the painting will be done on the inside of the building, but the finish line is in sight!

With the last walls painted, we now have the opportunity to start putting up some more of the wall hangings which have been collected over the past few years in view of giving the station a unique vibe matching its purpose. However, those special items will have to wait for a later date to go on display.

At the moment, we are all thankful for the Lord’s care throughout all the building process so far and continue to pray for safety and wisdom as we continue step by step through the process of getting this wonderful opportunity up and running.
