Hanging up our first picture – a SUN!

When I was shopping one day an amazing, large “Sun” like wall hanging caught my attention. I couldn’t get my mind off of it as it so matched the theme of Chejeji (Light) which the radio station building is supposed to represent. After much deliberation, I finally chose to pick it up in the hopes that it would stand out on one of the red walls of the station.

Fast forward to today, a day when we hung our first wall hanging – a symbol of hope that completion is just around the corner. The red walls look stunning in the building as an accent wall, but each wall is truly lacking its masterpiece of artwork to complete it. As we thought about which hanging to choose to put up first, the “SUN” came to mind. What better hanging to put up than one that gives a little light. 😉

Even with a wonderful wall and a wonderful wall hanging, if the hanging is not put in the right place it will actually destroy the beauty of both the accent wall and the hanging. So, we took measurements, consulted experts, and tested various positions and alignments on the wall. The main capture shows a youth helping me to take a picture of one of the positions which we thought it would look best to see what others would say.

Finally, after much collaboration the first of many wall hangings is up and it sure feels good to be starting on this stage!
